MSR Dome Tents 13699 Editorial Review
The MSR Tents Elixir 2 has garnered a mixed yet generally positive reception from customers, particularly highlighting its durability, ease of setup, and comfort for solo camping trips. Many users appreciate the tent's robust Construction, which they have tested in various conditions, including rainy weather, without experiencing leaks. The included footprint and extra vestibule space are notable advantages, allowing campers to store gear safely and keep the interior tidy. The tent's design is another praised feature, notably its new color and the inclusion of convenient storage pockets. Customers have valued the spaciousness for a solo camper, although some have expressed concerns about the tent's ideal capacity for two individuals, recommending it primarily for solo use or for two people on minimal gear. However, not all feedback has been completely positive. A few users have voiced frustration over certain design changes from previous models, particularly regarding the setup process. Some found it challenging to manage the tent's poles alone, mentioning issues with the poles popping out of their slots and difficulty unfolding them post-setup. This has led some customers to find it not as user-friendly as older versions. Additionally, while the weight of the tent is manageable for car camping, it does not offer the most compact packing solution. In summary, the MSR Tents Elixir 2 is a solid choice for campers looking for a dependable, spacious, and durable tent for solo adventures or short trips, but it may not be the best option for those needing a tent that is easy to set up alone or for two people sharing space with significant gear. **
