    antwoord: Inexpensive sound pressure level meter, voltmeter, and optionally precision microphone, oscilloscope, or spectrum analyzer.
  • vraag: Are the tracks/frequencies recorded at 0dB?

    antwoord: Only the Saturated Distortion Suite, tracks 97 and 99, are recorded at 0 dB. All others are recorded at -6 dB.
  • vraag: Does this have a 1000 Hz sine wave tone? If so, how long does it play?

    antwoord: There is a 10 second 1000 Hz sine wave in track 4, a single track including 13 announced sinusoids at octave intervals within decade intervals. There is also a separate 10 second 1016 Hz sinusoid track that can be repeated indefinitely on many players.

With a stereo setup, each tone should appear to come from midway between the speakers if the speakers are responding identically at each frequency. For additional precision, you can use a sound recording program on your PC or a sound level meter to measure relative levels.
