SMALLRIG Handheld Flashlights 5710 Editorial Review
The SMALLRIG Rechargeable Mini EDC Flashlight is a compact and versatile lighting tool that has garnered positive feedback from photography enthusiasts and everyday users alike. Collaborating with Wuben for this model, SMALLRIG enhances the original G5 by adding features such as a 1/4"-20 screw mount for easy attachment to tripods and camera cages. The built-in magnetic base is another highlight, allowing the light to be securely positioned in various orientations. With an impressive brightness of 400 lumens, this flashlight delivers robust performance for a variety of tasks, from photography to everyday tasks. Users appreciate the intuitive user interface, which grants access to multiple modes including standard white light and an RGB color system with diverse flashing patterns. However, the multitude of modes can lead to a learning curve, with some users desiring the manual on hand to navigate the more complex functions. Build quality is frequently praised, complimented by its water-resistant design (IP65 rating) and strong aluminum body that withstands drops and splashes. While the device excels in many areas, some users have noted that it can become excessively hot during use, necessitating caution. Despite some drawbacks, including an intricate menu system and limited head movement for adjusting light direction, the SMALLRIG flashlight is generally viewed as a valuable addition to any toolkit—provided users are willing to familiarize themselves with its features. **
