Cross finds himself in a daring cat-and-mouse game with Soneji, who is suspected in various murders and the kidnappings of two rich children. This first novel is terrifyingly brilliant with electrifying action scenes and suspenseful plot twists, giving it a five-star rating from readers. Some commented that the characters were well-rounded and their evolution was worthy of readers' attention, while others Considered the style of writing to be engaging, simple and fast-paced. However, some readers felt that the descriptive language of the novel did not match the electric plot.
