What is included in the Rohn 25G Series 60 Basic Tower Kit?

The Rohn 25G Series 60 Basic Tower Kit includes essential components such as pre-assembled tower sections, a complete set of hardware for assembly, and ground anchor kits. This kit is designed for easy installation and stability, ensuring that you have everything necessary for a robust setup. Using quality materials, this tower kit is ideal for supporting antennas, satellite dishes, and other communication equipment, making it an excellent choice for both amateur and professional purposes.

What is the maximum height the Rohn 25G tower can reach?

The Rohn 25G tower can reach a maximum height of 60 feet when fully assembled using the sections provided in the kit. This height is optimal for various applications, including ham radio, cellular antennas, and other telecommunications setups. It's critical to follow manufacturer specifications for anchoring and installation to ensure safety and performance, particularly in windy conditions or challenging terrain.

How much weight can the Rohn 25G tower support?

The Rohn 25G tower is engineered to support a maximum load of approximately 2.5 square feet of wind area. This translates to a maximum weight of around 1,800 pounds, depending on the type of antennas and equipment used. Proper installation and stabilization methods are essential to maintain structural integrity, so be sure to adhere to guidelines to prevent any misuse that could compromise the tower's functionality.

Can I install the Rohn 25G tower myself?

Yes, you can install the Rohn 25G tower yourself if you have the necessary tools and experience. While the Rohn 25G tower is designed for durability, it is not specifically coated or treated for marine environments, which can be excessively corrosive. If you plan to use it near saltwater, consider applying protective coatings or opting for specially designed marine-grade towers. Utilizing corrosion-resistant fasteners and ensuring proper maintenance can also help enhance the longevity of the tower in such conditions.

What antennas can I use with the Rohn 25G tower?

The Rohn 25G tower is versatile and can support various types of antennas, including VHF, UHF, and broadband antennas. It is particularly popular among ham radio enthusiasts who require reliable equipment for their communications. When selecting antennas, ensure they are within the specified load capacity and designed for outdoor installations to achieve optimal performance.

Does the Rohn 25G tower require a foundation?

Yes, the Rohn 25G tower should be installed with an appropriate foundation to ensure stability and safety. The foundation should be designed according to local codes and the tower's height. Excavating a solid footing and using concrete for anchoring are recommended practices. Proper groundwork is vital for the longevity of the installation, especially in areas with high winds.

Absolutely! The Rohn 25G Series tower system allows for expansion by adding additional sections. This modular design enables you to increase the height or support more equipment as needed. When expanding, make sure to consider the combined load capacity and perform thorough calculations to ensure stability and safety.
