PORTER-CABLE Power Tools Replacement Parts Editorial Review
The Porter Cable 692900 wrench is a replacement tool used for attaching and removing the backing plate on the sander/polisher tool. It has a size of 9/16th of an inch and works with various models of Porter Cable tools. The wrench is not compatible with the PCC660. If you are changing pads, the wrench is not needed as they attach via velcro to the backing plate without the use of the wrench. Customer feedback indicates that the product fits well and is effective, even with other brands of polishers.
