The "Full Stack Development with Spring Boot and React" book provides a good introduction to Spring Boot and React for those that have experience with Java/Spring and/or Javascript. However, the book lacks explanations of code and concepts, and often introduces new concepts in code blocks with little to no explanation. Some of the code also has errors and there are grammatical errors and typos throughout the book. Additionally, the author insisted on printing entire source files repeatedly, causing the book to be longer than necessary. The book is recommended for those with experience who can get it for under $25, but beginners should look elsewhere for better quality. Despite its flaws, the book does provide a good crash course in getting up and running with React and a REST backend, covering Java Web Tokens and Spring Security.
