Horror Editorial Review
Halloween II (1981) [DVD] captivates audiences as a standout sequel to the original John Carpenter's Halloween, following the intense story of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. This film not only retains the chilling suspense but also enhances it with a higher body count and more graphic violence, making it a worthy continuation. Reviews highlight its ability to evoke fear through the character of Michael Myers, with striking performances and a haunting score that builds on the original's atmosphere. Additionally, it cleverly reveals Laurie's secret connection to Michael, intensifying the stakes. The balance of tension and horror keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, confirming its place as one of cinema's best horror sequels.
