It contains a gold mine of technical information, simple code examples, and funny illustrations which helped many to understand how C/C++ building process works. The book is concrete and to the point on subject of putting together and analysing things produced after code gets compiled. However, the book is primarily Linux-specific, although many concepts learned apply to Windows. Furthermore, there are many typographical errors, but it does not affect the technical content, except for one error concerning ".bas" instead of ".bss."
