Poltergeist (Blu-ray + Digital Code)

**** The recent reboot of "Poltergeist" has elicited mixed reactions among viewers. Some fans were excited about the modern update, particularly the incorporation of advanced technology, which was anticipated to enhance the film's appeal. However, nostalgia for the original cast and authentic scare elements from the beloved classic has led to disappointment for others. Critics have noted that while the film attempts to pay homage to the original, it relies too heavily on recycled concepts and fails to capture the intensity and originality that made the 1982 version a cult classic. Audience members have expressed frustration with certain aspects of the film, labeling it as cheesy and critiquing its pacing and character decisions as annoying. They have pointed out that the film could have benefited from a more thorough refresh rather than retreading old ground in a way that felt forced. While there are a few standout moments, many suggest that "Poltergeist" lacks the depth and gripping suspense expected from a horror film, ultimately recommending alternatives like "The Conjuring" for a more satisfying experience. **
