Fantasy Editorial Review
**** "Drifting Dragons" is a standout addition to the graphic novel genre, celebrated primarily for its breathtaking art style, which draws comparisons to the vibrant worlds of classic animation like "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind." Reviewers Consistently praise the visuals, describing them as a feast for the eyes, with detailed illustrations of dragons, airships, and landscapes that create an immersive experience. The narrative, while relatively simple, follows the daily lives of a group of dragon hunters known as Drakers, centering on the protagonist, Maki, whose culinary ventures into cooking dragons add a unique twist to the story. The simplistic, slice-of-life storytelling resonates with many readers who appreciate character-driven plots over complex narratives. Although some readers noted that certain aspects of the world-building felt rushed or illogical, the overarching themes of adventure and the intriguing concept of dragon Consumption captivated audiences. Readers also highlight a sense of community in the artwork, with characters being well-developed and engaging. The comparisons to real-world practices like whaling provide a thought-provoking backdrop to the fantastical elements of the storyline. As a result, "Drifting Dragons" has garnered a loyal following among readers eager for more volumes, reflecting a strong community of fans who are as excited for the story as they are for the art. Overall, "Drifting Dragons" offers a refreshing blend of visual artistry and engaging storytelling, making it a highly recommended read for both manga enthusiasts and newcomers alike. **
